Broken down walls

September 27, 2011; I woke up with no electricity in our house and in the whole city because of “Pedring”. So me, my sister, and cousins were all playing cards while my Mom was busy with her coloring book while listening to the radio. Eventually, we got bored and we told our Dad if we could go to Roxas Boulevard to take pictures and experience some adventure.

And we were greeted with this…

Homeless people living in a makeshift house made of plastic and and sticks while their surrounding are filled with garbage that was brought by the waves.

Intense waves crashing through the walls.

A biker pushing his bike beside a broken wall in Manila Bay.

A statue of a family with broken tiles scattered around them.

Locals gathering mussels from the stones and other shells that were brought in by the waves.

What’s left of Manila Bay, Roxas Boulevard.
